CAFT is a grassroots organisation, run entirely by unwaged volunteers. Unlike many wealthy national campaigning groups we rely solely on donations to continue fighting the fur trade.

Please donate by cheque, paypal, Standing Order or by leaving us a gift in your will - with your help we can work together to bring an end to the fur industry.

Remembering CAFT in your Will


Remembering CAFT in your will could make a huge difference to the effectiveness of our investigations, educating and campaigning.

If, like us, you believe that the fur trade should be abolished, then a gift in your will means you'll be helping CAFT create a brighter future for millions of animals.


Types of Legacies


If you would like to remember CAFT in your will, there are three main types of gift you can make:.

  • Residuary Gift - is the gift of all (or part) of the value of your estate after debts, liabilities and other legacies have been paid.

  • Pecuniary Gift - is the gift of a particular sum of money.

  • Specific - is the gift of a specified item that could be for example; property, a painting or a piece of jewellery.


    Suggested wording for a gift in your Will


    If you would like to leave CAFT a gift in your will the following wording may be helpful when you visit your legal advisor:

    "I give all (or a _% share of) the residue of my estate to Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT), PO Box 38, Manchester M60 1NX, for its general purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or duly authorised officer shall be a valid and appropriate form of discharge."


    If you already have a Will


    If you already have a will and you want to include a gift to Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT) in it, there may not be any need to rewrite it. You can ask a qualified professional such as a solicitor to add an amendment (called a codicil). If the change you wish to make is quite small or simple, you can use a codicil, but if the change is more complicated you should make a new will.
