Until all cages are empty
The empty cages and dilapidated sheds were a far different scene to that which first greeted us on that cold misty morning 11 years previously.
And what a joy it was to see it like this, a testament to the hard work of CAFT and other campaigners in ending fur farming in the UK.

September 2008, 11 years and 1 month after CAFT’s first investigation of a mink fur farm in West Yorkshire, we returned to see what had happened to the farm.

The sheds that had imprisoned thousands of mink on that Sunday morning inAugust 1997 were now empty except for trees and bushes which had grown and virtually covered the whole farm. The concrete buildings had been demolished and an eerie silence hung over the site. |
