Atlantic Fashions fuels the fur trade - Take Action
Atlantic Fashions, which is also known as Atlantic Clothing is a fast expanding chain of fashion shops with at least 27 branches throughout London and the Home Counties. They expect to have 40 branches by the end of this year. They have been selling fur in many of their stores, making them a major contributor to the fur trade.
Local activists recently held demos at their branch in Sutton, Surrey, who removed fur as a result. However other shops continue to sell fur. With so many branches, this expanding company is helping to fuel the cruel fur trade, in an area of retail where fur was previously not common.
Take Action
So it is important to take action now before they get in their Autumn and Winter stock. Please contact the company explaining the cruelty of the fur trade. Ask that they withdraw all real fur products and adopt a clear fur free policy. If they do not, we will be holding protests at their shops and calling on customers to boycott all Atlantic stores. Please inform us of any replies.
Please check out your local Atlantic Store, listed below, and let us know if they are selling fur. Complain to the manager if they do, you can do it in writing if you would prefer.
Remember it is illegal to farm animals for fur in the UK as it is considered too cruel, yet companies such as Atlantic are allowed to make profits from fur imported from countries where fur farming remains legal. Tell them this is unacceptable, and that until they stop selling fur, you will boycott their shops and you will encourage others to do the same.
